Xiang Cha Green

$14.58

Our Xiang Cha (meaning “Fragrant Tea” in Mandarin) is a Chinese green tea grown at an altitude of more than 600 meters above sea level in the beautiful Fujian Province. It is made with fresh tea leaves that have one leaf and one bud. The finished dry tea leaf is curled and slender with a deep green color and a bold, inviting green tea fragrance similar to Japanese sencha tea.

Once steeped, the curled leaves of Xiangcha release a mouthwatering sweet vegetal aroma of sautéed spinach, fresh green grass and a brilliant clear green liquor. Its flavor is bold, savory, and invigorating, with a lingering cha qi.

*Correct water temperature is vital for preparing our Xiangcha, as water that is too hot will draw out an unpleasant sharp, astringent taste.
