Our Wild Buchu Berries tisane celebrates the pure delight of late summer berry picking. Cool forest-shaded summer climate causes berries to ripen slowly to develop a deep and sweet flavor. Berry season generally starts around late June with strawberries and finishes in October with black currants.

“Buchu” is a general term for the aromatic plant in native South Africa; it is known for its healing properties as a diuretic and healing for urinary tract issues. It is fragrant and has an intense natural flavor of black currant. We have blended buchu leaf with cranberry, elderberries, strawberries, and hibiscus for a flavorful red berries sweet tisane that is sure to please the palate.

Once steeped, the fragrant black currant blend infuses a rich burgundy tea liquor with a sweet-tart aroma, at first sip you will adore the delicious balance of sweet ripe blueberry, with sharp black currant taste and hibiscus tartness and a finish of fresh picked strawberry.
